On Thursday, the 14th of October 2021, the inauguration of ALAN’s new offices was celebrated in the presence of the mayor of Roeser, Tom Jungen, and the president of the health commission, Mars Di Bartolomeo. The organisation, which supports families affected by a rare disease, moved to Kockelscheuer, into the new, modern building of the engineering firm Schroeder & Associés S.A., in response to the consistent increase in requests for support and expansion of its activities.
Over the past few years, all of ALAN’s activities have grown significantly. This led the organisation to relocate its main offices earlier this year. On the 14th of October 2021, ALAN invited its volunteers, partners, and active members to inaugurate its new premises in Kockelscheuer.
– The new location –
ALAN’s main offices are located in the new, innovative, bright and friendly building of the engineering firm Schroeder & Associés SA. The modern, easily accessible and spacious premises allow ALAN to provide optimal support for people living with a rare disease. In her speech at the inauguration ALAN’s president, Shirley Feider-Rohen underlined: “This marks the start of a new chapter for ALAN. Thanks to our valued partner, we were able to find and adapt new offices that are perfectly suited to our needs, allowing us to fulfil our missions in the coming years.”

The official part of the inauguration was hosted by ALAN’s vice-president, Anja Di Bartolomeo. The musical interludes by opera singer Noémie Desquiotz-Sunnen and cellist Magali Weber gave the inauguration an elegant, yet relaxed atmosphere. The welcome speeches from Thierry Flies, Managing Director of Schroeder & Associés S.A., and Tom Jungen, Mayor of Roeser, were followed by speeches from Shirley Feider-Rohen, ALAN’s President, and Daniel Theisen, ALAN’s Director. Then, artist Giulia Helminger presented a painting to ALAN, which was created as part of the “Gléckssteen” campaign of the Center Hospitalier du Nord. The official part of the inauguration was closed by Mars Di Bartolomeo’s warm speech, followed by a dinner aperitif. The inauguration of ALAN’s new premises was organised with the generous support of Schroeder & Associés S.A., the Municipality of Roeser and Cactus S.A.
